Syria – The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli aggression on the Aleppo countryside at dawn on Friday, noting that its coincidence with the terrorist attack is not a coincidence.
The Foreign Ministry statement said: “Syria condemns the terrorist aggression launched by the Israeli occupation entity at dawn on Friday, targeting a number of points in the Aleppo countryside, which resulted in the martyrdom and wounding of a number of civilians and military personnel, and material losses to public and private property.”
He added: “It was not a coincidence that the racist Zionist entity carried out this aggression at the same time that armed terrorist groups allied with the Zionist entity launched attacks and drone attacks carried out from Idlib and the western countryside of Aleppo.”
He continued: “Syria stresses that the Israeli violations of Syrian territory and its repeated attacks on residential neighborhoods prove the aggressive and barbaric nature of this entity and reaffirms that it is the main cause of instability in the region and the suffering of its people.”
The statement concluded: “Syria calls on all countries of the world to bear their responsibilities regarding the serious and repeated Israeli violations of the principles of international law and international humanitarian law, and to oblige the Zionist entity and those who support it to stop their attacks and crimes in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon.”
Earlier, the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that it had confronted terrorist groups affiliated with the so-called “Al-Nusra Front” organization in the Aleppo countryside in conjunction with the Israeli bombing.
