LH deputy Landbauer: “Getting children and young people interested in sport in particular is a top priority in our sports strategy”

St. Pölten (OTS/NLK) The SPORTUNION Lower Austria is organizing the SPORTLAND Lower Austria Ninja Tour for the first time in cooperation with the SPORTLAND Lower Austria. For all young ninjas in the 2012-2015 age groups, each district of the country has its own challenge that promises lots of sport, fun and action.

State Sports Councilor and LH Deputy Udo Landbauer: “Sport is the best school for life. Exercise is an important driver of health. Inspiring children and young people in particular to play sports is a top priority in our sports strategy. Trend sports should be promoted and seized as an opportunity. The SPORTLAND Lower Austria Ninja Tour combines all of these objectives in a wonderful way, which is why we are very happy to be part of this nationwide project.”

Together with SPORTLAND Lower Austria, SPORTUNION Lower Austria is organizing the SPORTLAND Lower Austria Ninja Tour. This is a series of events throughout Lower Austria with the aim of promoting children and young people with the trend sport “Ninja” through sporting activities and offering them the opportunity to show off their skills in a challenging environment. To do this, the ninjas have to complete a course as quickly as possible. This requires and trains balance, strength, speed, skill and of course mental strength.

The SPORTLAND Lower Austria Ninja Tour invites all young ninjas in the 2012-2015 age groups to show off their skills and prove themselves in exciting challenges. A challenge will be held in each district of the country and the best participants will qualify for the big Lower Austria final on September 28, 2024.

SPORTUNION Lower Austria President Raimund Hager is enthusiastic about this new project: “I am very pleased that the SPORTLAND Lower Austria Ninja Tour was launched together with SPORTLAND Lower Austria. This offers children and young people an exciting opportunity, an exciting trend sport to try out and promote their sporting abilities. Through a varied course and exciting competitions, we offer them a unique experience that not only challenges and strengthens them physically, but also mentally.”

The first challenge will take place on April 27th. in Yspertal and it is already fully booked. There are still places left for the other challenges in Kilb (May 11th), Wr. Neustadt (May 30th) and Stockerau (June 2nd). Participation is free. Registration and further information is available at www.sportunion.at/noe/ninja-tour/.
