Diary Aha! said Abrhám’s lawyer Aleš Rozehnal himself yesterday. “I’ve already filed a lawsuit,” wrote Aha! with the fact that the attorney of the Moritzburg castle contacted him from Germany. “He just wanted to present the power of attorney and see what evidence we have. I sent him most of the photos but he never got back to me.” Abraham’s lawyer added.
The whole problem started before Christmas. Management of the Saxon castle Moritzburg, where director Václav Vorlíček, among others (†84) filmed the fairy tale 51 years ago, the jubilee exhibition dedicated to Three Nuts for Cinderella was launched in November. Until the end of February, it was the film image of Šafránková that attracted her. In addition, at the exhibition they sold promotional items with portraits of the late actress from Cinderella and other fairy tales in which she shone during her successful career. Abrhám the Younger himself saw it with his own eyes, and no one from the castle asked him if he agreed with it.
The organizers obviously bet on the fact that the distributor of Three Nuts for Cinderella in Germany (studio DEFA) sold the rights to use photos from the film to the management of the castle. Personal rights were missing from the family! “The company was asked to refrain from using the name and likeness of Libuša Šafránková, both within the framework of the exhibition and the sale of advertising items. But that didn’t happen until the end of the exhibition.” lawyer Rozehnal pointed out. The whole case will end up in court.

In Moritzburg, they feel that they are not doing anything wrong. “The goal of the exhibition is to show visitors who Šafránková was and how important she was to Czech viewers,” Dominique Flieger, director of the castle, told CNN Prima News. “We would very much like to go through this exhibition with Mrs. Šafránková’s son to explain to him what our goal is. However, we do not display any private photos because we know she was shy herself,” added.
