SMIT reviews the Moroccan experience in Berlin

The Moroccan Company for Tourism Engineering (SMIT) participated in the largest forum dedicated to tourism investment, the “International Hotel Investment Forum”, known by the abbreviation “IHIF” (“International Hôtel Investment Forum”), which took place in the German capital, Berlin, during the period from 15 to 17 This April.

The communication stated that “all global tourism players met to discuss trends in tourism investment flows,” as well as exchange views on “topics of the moment” and “challenges and investment opportunities in the tourism industry.”

SMIT’s participation in this major event set goals mainly to “strengthen its ties with global customers,” then “to meet and establish new partnerships with potential investors.”

The same source reported that Imad Barqad, Director General of the Moroccan Company for Tourism Engineering, reviewed, during his intervention at the level of the session dedicated to Morocco, “the path of progress and the important reforms undertaken by the Kingdom, under the enlightened leadership of King Mohammed VI, and the new investment incentives granted by the Moroccan government to investors.” .

Barqad’s talk also focused on the “portfolio of projects and commercial opportunities,” seizing the opportunity by “launching an appeal to tourism investors present to benefit from the momentum of hosting the 2030 World Cup by Morocco, Spain and Portugal with the aim of paying more attention to enhancing Morocco’s destination,” especially in the cities of Fez, Tangier and El Dar. White and lace.

In the aforementioned session, the International Hotel Investment Forum in Berlin shed more light on the social and economic reforms implemented by the country, highlighting that they “allow for greater stimulation of the dynamism of tourism investment.”

In addition, the Moroccan company itself reported organizing “high-level meetings on the sidelines of the forum with investors and major international tourism value chains interested in Morocco,” recalling “the participation of many national operators and investors in this investment exhibition, which highlighted the partnership between the public and private sectors that… The tourism sector enjoys it.”
