Blyth is said to have reached for a gun, not with the intention of killing his wife, but to threaten to kill himself. The demonstrative threat was then supposed to go wrong, when Victoria was supposed to take the gun from her husband and he accidentally shot her. After committing the crime, he took his own life.

According to one of the investigative versions, during the subsequent argument with a gun in hand, an accident occurred in which Victoria died. Blyth then committed suicide on that account. While Turkish police investigate the case, the couple’s bodies have been returned to their homes. In any case, it seems that the cohabitation of the two spouses was not accompanied by any long-term problems and there was certainly no domestic violence, although some even abuse it for their political goals.

She indicated shortly after Victoria’s death that this is a typical case of a woman experiencing the terror of long-term domestic violence with her husband.

“The story is always the same: long-term domestic violence. Often the victims (mostly women) report him. But help will not come, on the contrary, worse, trivialization will come. And then he murders her. Sometimes even yourself. Sometimes with children, sometimes right in front of their eyes. Until we have official statistics, we won’t be able to convince anyone that it’s important to help those people right from the start. There will be no plan. Maybe not send them home under the same roof to their stepfather, who raped them for years. Every year in the Czech Republic, there are dozens of cases mapped outside the system,” she wrote on the X social network.

She didn’t even respond when people called on her to defend or even delete her far-fetched claims. Turkish police are still working on the version of the third shooter.
