The Security Council expressed its concern that the successful security model that exists in Coahuila is maintained in all regions of the state, regardless of the political party that wins in the next elections.
“We are really concerned about the security situation, we see a successful model that we would not like to see lost, regardless of the partisan color that arrives, something that is working must continue,” explained Juan Carlos Jáuregui Urrutia, president of the Citizen Council of Public Security.
In this sense, he called on citizens to reason their vote and evaluate the security in the lagoon region, which he considered better than that in neighboring states such as Zacatecas.
“Personally, we would love for all states and regions of the country to work with the Coahuila model, so we can begin to improve the security scheme”he commented.
Jáuregui Urrutia considered it important to exercise a reasoned vote where the political platform of each of the parties and the candidates for the different popularly elected positions are taken into account.
“The call we make, regarding the electoral process, is for people to go out and vote, to evaluate, to listen to the candidates, to ask them questions about security issues, what they plan to do, so that they can exercise their right to vote in an orderly and thoughtful manner.”he expressed.
The president of the Citizen Security Council said that if any political party offers people money in exchange for their vote, groceries or other incentives, they should not be afraid to take them, but their voting intention should not be affected by this, but rather their suffrage be with reflection.
“Let them grab it, but let them vote for whoever they want”said.
