Russian missile and drone attack in Ukraine overnight – 2024-04-01 17:48:40

Russia launched 16 missiles and 11 drones in Ukraine overnight. The Air Force of Ukraine confirmed the matter on Sunday (March 31) morning. British news agency Reuters reported this news.

In a statement on Telegram, the Ukrainian Air Force said it was able to shoot down nine drones and nine missiles. But these could not identify their target.

Russian forces launch 14KH-101/KH-555 cruise missiles from Saratov. In addition, 11 Shahed drones from Russian-held Primorsko-Akhtarsk, one Iskander-M ballistic missile from Crimea, and KH-59 missiles from Russian-held Zaporizhia attacked Ukraine.

For more than a week, Russia has significantly stepped up airstrikes against Ukraine’s energy facilities. As a result, there is a fear of a return to the blackout that occurred in the early days of the war in Ukraine.

Ukraine’s largest private energy company DTEK said on Saturday that five of its six plants had been damaged or destroyed. They have lost about 80 percent of their production capacity. DTEK claims that it may take at least 18 months to repair them.
