New Delhi : Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is launching devices one after the other in its home market China. The recently launched Redmi Turbo 3 has Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. According to a report, Redmi may soon launch another phone in China. This time the focus will be on performance. The name of the device could be Redmi K70 Ultra, which will be equipped with MediaTek’s flagship processor.
A tipster on Chinese social media platform Weibo has shared some details of the upcoming Redmi phone. It is being claimed that the new Redmi K70 Ultra phone will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ processor. This is an upgraded version of Dimensity 9300. Dimensity 9300+ processor can also be installed in Vivo’s upcoming flagship phone.
It is also speculated that the Redmi K70 Ultra will have a 50-megapixel main camera sensor, along with an ultra-wide lens and a macro camera. The phone can be provided with an OLED display with 1.5K resolution. The phone can have up to 24 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. It can support 120W fast charging, which will charge the 5500 mAh battery quickly.
There is no confirmation yet on the availability of this device outside China. It is possible that Xiaomi may launch this phone in the global market under some other name. Redmi K70 Ultra can be offered with IP68-rated dustproof and water-resistant chassis. It is also expected to have an aluminum frame for better durability.
Recently, Digital Chat Station had reported that Redmi K70 Ultra has a 5,500mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. It will come with up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. That means it will be one of the most powerful phones of the Redmi brand.
