Scoring in four different innings and with good pitching work, the Red Devils of Mexico (16-5) headed to a 6-5 victory over the Guerreros de Oaxaca (9-12) to take the series by sweep at the Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú.

Franklin Barreto and Robinson Canó finished with two RBIs each and José Rondón went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, to lead an offense that totaled eight hits. Canó and Rondón each had two hits, on an afternoon where the Reds scored three in the second, one in the fourth, one in the fifth and one in the seventh.

In pitching, Daniel Ponce de León started the job with three innings of work, with five hits and three runs, with two walks and three hits. He then replaced Alemeo Hernández with 3.0 innings of activity, one run, with a walk and three strikeouts, being the winning pitcher. Jimmy Yacabonis (one inning), Tomohiro Anraku (one inning of one run) and Jake Sánchez (one chapter).

After this result, the Red Devils will have a day of rest and will prepare to return to the ‘Diamante de Fuego’ on Tuesday, as they will open a three-game series against the Conspiradores de Querétaro. For the first game, the probable starting pitcher will be Erick Leal.
