Parliament: The day for discussion and voting on the conclusion of the Inquiry on the “crime of Tempe” has been set

On the morning of Wednesday, March 20, it was decided by the Conference of Presidents that the debate and voting of the conclusion of the Commission of Inquirys “for the investigation of the crime of Tempo and all aspects related to it”.

The Conference decided that the meeting should start at 9:30 next Wednesday, March 20, and that the debate on the conclusion be organized with four rounds of parliamentary speakers in proportion to the parliamentary strength of their parties. In addition, those political leaders who wish to be appointed and the parliamentary representatives of the parties will of course take the floor.

The government will be represented by a minister who will be appointed if the entire process is a parliamentary initiative.

A total of 41 MPs will take part in the parliamentary debate of the three rounds of MP speakers. The first circle of speakers-MPs will be made up of the MPs of the parties and the independent MP who was a member of the Inquiry Committee. In the following cycles, 16 speakers will participate in each cycle in proportion to the parliamentary strength of the parties.

In the meantime, the Association of Relatives of Tempe Victims will meet again in the European Parliament on March 18 to highlight the petition filed regarding the manipulations of the Mitsotakis government and the operation to cover up political responsibilities.

“We ask the European Parliament to support the petition we submitted about the government’s handling. We are talking precisely about the cover-up.

The crime of Tempe will not be covered up”, notes the association’s president, Maria Karystianou, in a post.

“Along with us, 1,300,000 Greeks are asking for the removal of the political immunity behind which those responsible for the tragic event are covered”, he concludes.
