The Spanish newspaper “AS” revealed that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez issued a “final ultimatum” to Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, demanding that he determine his fate.
The newspaper added that Perez will contact Mbappe and his representatives starting next January, to inform the France captain that he has 15 days to respond to Real Madrid’s offer, a period that Perez considers sufficient to make his final decision.
If the deadline passes without receiving a response, Real Madrid will close the player’s file completely, and focus on trying to convince Norwegian star scorer Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker, to play for Real Madrid in the summer of 2024.
Kylian Mbappe’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in the summer of 2024, and so far there are no talks regarding renewing the contract, and it seems that Mbappe will not renew his contract with the Parisian club.
Mbappe rebelled against Paris Saint-Germain in order to leave last summer, and told his club management that he did not want to stay after the end of his contract, which expires in the summer of 2024, and he refused to activate the extension clause for an additional year until 2025.
The Royal Club did not communicate with Mbappe during the recent period, for fear of being subjected to a penalty from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) regarding negotiations during the validity of his contract with his club.
The newspaper indicated that the Royal Club will submit its offer in the first part of 2024, so that the player will arrive when the season ends once he becomes a free player.
For its part, Saint-Germain still believes in its ability to persuade Mbappé to reverse its decision not to extend his contract for an additional year until the summer of 2025, and to consider the letter he sent to the club in this regard as if it had not happened.

Mbappe is not having his best time with Paris Saint-Germain, despite his good numbers, but on the field, his performance has noticeably declined.
