MOTOMO – booster programs for healthy employees – 2024-03-08 00:26:03

What sounds like a Japanese movement technique is an efficient way for companies to encourage employees to be healthier.

Vienna (OTS) It’s no secret: healthy employees are an important resource for a company and a healthy organization is a good basis for success. But when is an organization healthy? Surveys show that everyday working life demands a lot from our bodies. 90% of workers in Europe suffer from tension and pain at least once a year. (Gallup Research Europe 2022) Globally, 44% said they felt stressed most of the time during their workday. (Gallup Research 2022) This of course also has an impact on the world of work; from 2021 to 2022, sick leave in Austria increased by 36%. (Statistics Austria 2022)

Motivate employees to be healthier

MOTOMO stands for Motivation to Move. With MOTOMO, Mavie Work, a specialist in integrated health programs for companies, has created a completely new approach to corporate health management and company fitness. Andrea Grandits, Product Specialist Physical Well-Being at Mavie Work explains: “Companies that pay attention to the health of their employees are attractive. Anyone who takes New Work seriously should definitely rely on company health management. However, company health management is usually characterized by isolated solutions such as individual sports courses or standardized health units. It is questionable whether these have any real benefit. Because every company has employees with different needs and therefore needs individual health programs. With MOTOMO, we provide companies with well-thought-out solutions that are exactly right for them and their employees.

The central question at MOTOMO is “How do you motivate employees to be healthier?” An important lever for getting people in a corporate context to take part in health-promoting measures and company fitness. “When developing MOTOMO, it was important to us to understand the different reasons that motivate people to sustainably improve their health behavior. Based on these findings, we have developed tailor-made programs for the respective motivation types“, explains Dr. Bernhard Franzke, Product Specialist Physical Well-Being at Mavie Work.

MOTOMO – more health in just a few steps

Mavie Work has developed six different MOTOMO programs based on six types of motivation: Health Kick, Fight Back Pain, Lose Weight Healthily, Best Shape, Mind and Body and Challenge Yourself. “Our programs consist of exercise units and are supplemented by nutritional and mental workshops. They each run for 12 weeks and have different focuses depending on your motivation type. In this way, we sensitize participants holistically and sustainably to the topic of health“, adds Andrea Grandits.

The MOTOMO programs are designed as PLUG and PLAY programs. A central component is the digital Mavie Move platform, an app that handles all courses and workshops and also supports internal communication. The programs can be easily and cost-effectively integrated into everyday business and work life. This is an advantage, as the HR departments involved are usually lean and efficient. The programs can be supplemented by diagnostic offers such as the Mavie Health Mobile, which brings preventative care directly to the company location with kidney screening, cardiovascular screening, organ screening and much more.
