ASFINAG: Health promotion in ASFINAG awarded seal of quality – 2024-03-08 00:27:24

15 quality criteria were checked; Precautionary measures and health checks are standard

Vienna (OTS) – Health is the most important asset – in keeping with this principle, ASFINAG has professionalized its company health management in recent years and used numerous measures to motivate employees to pay more attention to their own health.

These efforts have now also led to a special award from an independent body, the “Austrian Network for Company Health Promotion”, in which social insurance companies, social partners and the Healthy Austria Fund work together. As part of a ceremony in Vienna with Federal Minister Johannes Rauch, ASFINAG was presented with the quality seal for company health promotion. The basis for this was a total of 15 quality criteria that had to be met, including target group orientation, active participation and the quality of communication.

Healthy employees are not only happier and more motivated, but also the essential basis for the company’s success. “At ASFINAG, we view health promotion as a shared task to which many people make valuable contributions,” says Christoph Weiß, health management team leader. On behalf of “these many”, Weiß and Reinhard Wendler (employee protection team leader) were able to accept the award together.

From diabetes prevention to muscle checks

Health promotion is now broadly based at ASFINAG. For example, preventative measures for colon cancer and diabetes are carried out on a regular basis, employees can have their back and chest muscles, blood pressure and sense of balance checked in a health mobile, and two health days were held for the first time last year in Vienna, which covered all areas of health – from… from a healthy snack to the correct sitting posture in front of the computer.
