“Moody’s” published the “Country Credit Rating Review Calendar” for 2024.

Publika.az reports that the first date for Turkey is January 12, and the second date is July 19.

Turkey’s entry into the “Moody’s” calendar as the first country to be evaluated next year has attracted attention. The fact that international credit rating agencies give dates regarding credit scores and rating forecasts of countries in their annual calendars does not mean that an update will be made on that date. Credit rating agencies may also conduct evaluations outside of the specified date.

Moody’s set December 15 for a review of Turkey’s credit rating in calendar 2023, but did not issue an update for Turkey on that date.

Turkey’s credit rating may become positive. On the other hand, on December 19, the institution that published the “Credit Opinion” report on the Turkish economy announced that the forecast of Turkey’s credit rating could become positive if the strict monetary stance is continued.
