Localizan invites missing Sinaloa candidate to life

Luis García Corral, candidate of the Sinaloense Party (PAS) for councilor of Culiacán who had been missing since Saturday, appeared alive and is already at home with his family, reported Rubén Rocha, governor of Sinaloa.

“I have been informed that both Luis Alonso García Corral and Juan Francisco Cerón Beltrán, militants of @PAS_Sinaloa, are in their homes, reunited with their families,” the state leader stated on his X account.

Likewise, he said that, from his responsibility as state leader, he is carrying out “in a responsible and coordinated manner” with the federal security authorities the tasks to guarantee security conditions “for all Sinaloans, including candidates for office.” of popular election”.

On Monday, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador revealed during his morning press conference that Rocha had asked the federal government for help in finding García Corral, who had disappeared since Saturday along with his friend Juan Francisco Cerón.

According to the founder of the PAS, Héctor Melesio Cuén, last weekend, police had detained the candidate prior to his disappearance, for which he held the state government responsible for the events and announced that they would suspend the campaign due to the unsafe conditions.

This Tuesday, Melesio Cuén celebrated the appearance of both people.
