There are 6 polling stations for voters to vote in Lachin, which was freed from occupation in connection with the early elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Residents of Lachin went to the polling stations in high spirits starting in the morning.
Publika.az informs that there are 110 polling stations in District No. 121. Of these, 6 polling stations are located in Lachin, which was liberated from occupation. Polling station No. 105 and 106 are located in the city center of Lachin, polling station No. 107 in the village of Zerti, polling station No. 108 in the village of Zabukh, polling station No. 109 in the village of Gorchu, and newly created polling station No. 110 in the village of Sus.
Necessary conditions have been created for democratic, transparent and fair elections in all polling stations. Precincts are provided with necessary technical means and methodical means, electricity, communication network and fire safety. Booths have been set up for voters to express their views freely.
It should be noted that for the first time, elections to the Milli Majlis are being held in all sovereign territories of Azerbaijan. Extraordinary elections are organized in 6478 polling stations. 6343 of them are permanent and 135 are temporary.
990 candidates are fighting for 125 seats in the upcoming elections. 305 people whose candidacy was registered are representatives of 25 political parties.
6 million 421 thousand 960 citizens will be able to vote in the parliamentary elections. 54 polling stations were created for more than 42,000 voters with the right to vote in the territories freed from occupation to exercise their constitutional rights.
The number of voters who turned 18 years old on the election day is 374, and the number of voters who will vote for the first time in the Milli Majlis elections is 51,141.
598 international observers from 51 international organizations and 69 countries have been accredited to monitor the elections. 112,749 people were registered as local observers.
Web cameras have been installed in 1,000 polling stations across the country.
Voting started at 08:00 in the morning and will end at 19:00.
