Jokowi Invites the Public to Support the Indonesian Team in the 2024 Thomas and Uber Cup Finals

JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invites the public to support the Indonesian badminton team in the 2024 Thomas and Uber Cup Finals, Sunday (5/5/2024). The Indonesian badminton team must face China.

“Congratulations to the Indonesian men’s and women’s badminton teams for successfully qualifying for the 2024 Thomas and Uber Cup finals,” said Jokowi via his social media account.

Jokowi admitted that he was proud of the achievements of the Indonesian women’s badminton team, which managed to enter the Uber Cup final after beating South Korea with a result of 3-2.

“Proud to see the achievements achieved by the Indonesian Women’s Team after defeating South Korea, and ending Indonesia’s 14 year wait to enter the 2024 Uber Cup semifinals,” said Jokowi.

Jokowi is also proud of the achievements of the Indonesian men’s team, which has qualified for the Thomas Cup final three times in a row. “The Indonesian Men’s Team also delivered a victory against Taiwan, and qualified for the 2024 Thomas Cup final. The struggle to make the nation proud is not over. Spirit of the sons and daughters of the Motherland!” concluded Jokowi.
