Indonesia U-23 vs Jordan U-23 National Team Players: Ivar Jenner Comeback, Justin Hubner Starter
The Indonesian U-23 National Team star, Marselino Ferdinan, previously revealed that his team was wary of Jordan’s long passing and counter-attacking game.
The Indonesian U-23 national team will face Jordan in the final match of Group A of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. The match is scheduled to take place on Sunday (21/4/2024) at 22.30 WIB at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Doha, Qatar. At the same time, Qatar will meet Australia at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Currently, the Garuda Muda squad is in second place in Group A with three points from two matches, two points ahead of Jordan and Australia who are below them. Meanwhile, the top position is occupied by the hosts, Qatar, who have ensured that they have qualified for the quarter-finals after sweeping two matches with a win.
Therefore, the final match against Jordan will be a life and death match for Rafael Struick et al. They at least need a draw to be able to secure tickets to the quarter-finals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup as runners up in Group A.
Indonesia was indeed able to appear at full strength, except for Ramadan Sananta who was still absent due to the direct red card he received when he met Qatar in the opening match. However, Ivar Jenner was able to appear against Jordan after previously being forced to be absent due to the second yellow card he received in the first match.
