All the leaders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guardin Syria and Lebanon were killed in the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1, as revealed this Saturday by the Bloomberg television network, which also noted that they were “senior officials, fundamental for the activities of Hezbollah in the region”.

The reports highlight two names among the members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard killed that day – General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and his deputy, Mohammad Hadi Rahimi – while data from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had mentioned Reza Zahedi, regional head of the Quds Force.
Both Rahimi and Zahedi, Bloomberg added, were in the consulate building, next to the embassy, as they considered it to be the place “safer” throughout the Syrian capital.
Even, shortly before the bombing, the move of the residence of the Ambassador and the Consul to a complex on the same block, where two of the brothers of the Syrian dictator Bashar Al Assad also live, had been discussed, although after a meeting with members of The Guard concluded that it would not be necessary.
The bombing of the diplomatic headquarters in the Mazeh neighborhood occurred amid the tensions that Israel maintains with pro-Iranian terrorist groups in the Middle East that, daily, launch attacks against their country in support of the war of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.
