In the footsteps of Satan – THE NEWS

Two months ago the world watched in silence the story of the Iranian Roya Heshmati who was flogged in Iran for removing her headscarf. But two years ago, on March 12, 2022, another rigid theocracy (also with exactly the same “moral” and “spiritual” deep roots as the domestic Christian mujahedin who threatened the day before yesterday to burn alive and hang the first same-sex couples who were forced to marry under police protection in supposedly “European” Greece), Saudi Arabia had carried out the largest mass execution in its history: 81 dead in one day.

But the regime does not hide the horror. On the contrary, he wants to remind her. It condenses and highlights the executions, even explaining their “logic” and gruesome techniques, such as interviews with the state archdeacon Mohammed Saad al-Bessi, who sheds light on his “secrets of the job” for an international audience. And, of course, it leaves no room for thinking about a change of attitude. Which, if it comes, will be at hand.

Announcing the public, as always, those murderous state executions, the state television had justified them by saying that the executed “followed in the footsteps of Satan”. Of course, it was neither the first nor the second time that the state mass-executed so many convicts together – this is an old tradition. And of course, as always, trials of this kind that lead to death in name only resemble what one means in the Western world by the same word.

In essence, however, these are not trials, but procedures to demonstrate the validity of the regime of religious law, the Islamic Sharia, which is the cornerstone of the country’s edifice. And of course, just as one cannot take for granted the “crimes” and “trials” that lead to these horrible killings, one cannot do so with the evidence provided by the authorities about them either: in any case, no one is able to actually control them, while the international organizations dealing with the subject appreciate that what is becoming more widely known is only a small part of what is really happening there, which seems to come not just from another era, but from another terrible , unimaginable, pitch-black world.

Because how else could one describe the public executions by stonings, beheadings and crucifixions, even by punching or beatings, excruciatingly painful executions, which have the constitutive purpose of their operation to cause an example – that is, terror – in the population, so that they do not does anyone ever consider questioning theocratic authority? Severed heads hanging from stakes and corpses suspended in the air caught upside down by wires holding cranes, headless crucified corpses left to rot under the fierce sun: these are left behind by the “justice” which the state executioners also carry out every time who execute their victims. “Justice” that some “Christians” here admire!..

The new era of death began with the rise to power of Mohammed bin Salman nine years ago, despite the fact that he had promised to do the exact opposite. The mass execution of March 2022 was the most heinous, but in 2023 about one person every two days met death. The charges for which such punishments are imposed are mostly war against God and treason against Islam, but also homosexuality or other, according to the theocratic regime, horrible sexual “crimes”. However, the “star” executioner Saad al-Bessi, who punishes the “steps of Satan”, presents the… “human” face of his atrocities: he must, he says, not hesitate for the good of the one he executes. Otherwise, it will take the sword falling on his head two or three times before he dies…
