Hockey boss Hadamczik didn’t even get advice from Jágr. Now before the home World Cup, coach Rulík… Goes to work!

According to Alois Hadamczik (71), the most difficult task for a coach is nomination. And what if the coach – like Radim Rulík (58) before the championship in the Czech Republic – is right behind the boss’s ass!

“Radim Rulík and his team were given absolute confidence to make the nomination. Of course, we consulted something…” declared Hadamczik in front of the entire nation at Sunday’s nomination press conference, and in fact proved that he is giving the coaches a hard time.

He pushed his son-in-law through

The head of the hockey association seems to have forgotten the times when he himself, as a coach, made selections for the World Cup or the Olympic Games. For example, when he took over the team after the gold championship in Vienna 2005 and selected players for the Olympic Games in Turin a year later. It was rumored that the divine Jaromír Jágr (52) had won over his teammates from the New York Rangers.

“Jarda Jágr did not meddle in the nomination, he did not interfere in it at all,” Hadamczik swore in the Radiožurnál broadcast. At other times, Lojza liked to brag about how he resisted pressure from agents. After the Olympics in Sochi 2014, where he took his son-in-law Michal Barinka (39) at the expense of NHL defender Jan Hejda (45), he resigned on the airwaves of regional radio Orion and blamed journalists for the failure: “They gave us no peace from the first minute of the nomination and wanted to interfere with it!”

Final decision

Even now coach Rulík did not have much peace of mind, who after failing at the Czech Games in Brno published 26 names for the championship in Prague.

Not only did he have to discuss the nomination with the intrusive boss, but Hadamczik also whispered to him from the left to mention that he was the one who spoke to the representatives in the cabin during the presidential visit! Fans could hardly believe Rulík’s words after the embarrassing moment: “Of course I will make the final decision.”

Rather, he is afraid that Lojza, who swore that he gives absolute peace to the coaches, won’t end up on the substitutes’ bench himself…

Will the fiasco go to heaven?

Television viewers swallowed empty even at the end of the press conference, when the president of the hockey association, Alois Hadamczik, while wishing coach Radi Rulík, invoked God’s help: “We will go to church to pray for the hockey nation to be satisfied.”

Why? Do they not trust the 26 nominated fighters? Some of the “Snake’s” wards sputtered: “Every failure leads to someone…” So the eventuality is not suitable – God forbid! – Rulík’s fiasco straight to heaven?!
