Talking about the secrets and deadly danger of sausage production, the expert explained that the amount of meat in the delicacy is not more than 1/5, and the rest of the components are at the disposal of the manufacturer.

The doctor said that the meat for the sausages is taken from special animals, their movement is restricted and they are fed excessively with low-quality food, antibiotics are often added to them. According to the expert, antibiotics can lead to the emergence of “mega-super-giga-resistant” microorganisms in the body of animals that can cause disease.

“In the production of different categories of sausages and hot dogs, almost all animals are used. Meat, fats, horns, nails, trans fats formed during processing, etc.,” Umnov noted.

The doctor said that dyes are added to delicacies to give them color, and sodium nitrite, which slows down the decay of meat, is added to increase shelf life. According to the doctor, if more than six grams of the substance is consumed, such an addition will result in death. Umnov reminded that sausages contain a lot of salt, which keeps water in the body and increases the risk of arterial hypertension.

“Sausage may contain high levels of omega-6, which can cause gastrointestinal damage and even increase the risk of colon cancer,” the expert added.

Due to the use of fatty meat in sausages, the risk of organ infarction increases, as well as fatty degeneration of organs and weight gain. The doctor recommended eating turkey sausage because its meat is not so fatty, which reduces the risk of developing atherosclerosis or the breakdown of fat into harmful components.
