Vienna (OTS) – “It’s very simple, Finance Minister Brunner has to take care of finding a fair and just solution. The solution must be in the interests of both companies and taxpayers. “Common sense tells you that we cannot support companies that lay people off on a large scale or pay massive dividends to their owners,” says Jakob Schwarz, budget spokesman for the Green Party, in response to the latest statements from the Ministry of Finance.
“We always pushed for a quick solution. But one thing is also clear: it is important to us that there is no over-funding. Further public subsidies for companies are not intended to increase profits, but rather to cover losses. “We don’t want subsidies, we want to support those companies that really need the help,” concludes Schwarz.
