Billie Eilish was also nominated for this award along with Dua Lipa – “Dance the Night”, John Baptiste – “Butterfly”, Lana Del Rey – “A&W”, Miley Cyrus – “Flowers”, Taylor Swift – “Anti-Hero”, Olivia Rodrigo for “Vampire” and SZA for “Kill Bill.”
Miley Cyrus won in the “Record of the Year” category for the song “Flowers”. “Flowers” spent eight weeks at number one on the Billboard music chart in 2023.
Victoria Monae won in the “Best New Artist” category.
Taylor Swift also won an award in the “Best Pop Vocal Album” category. Accepting the statuette, he announced the release of his new 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, in April.
This year also saw winners in three new categories: Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album and Best Dance-Pop Recording.
