The Coahuila delegation, in the swimming discipline, began its activity in the Conade 2024 National Games with obtaining a bronze medal, courtesy of Zenif Castillo, in the 50-meter butterfly event, category 13 – 14 years.
The native of Piedras Negras finished his test in third position, with a mark of 26.96 seconds; The gold went to Omar Ruelas, from Guanajuato, while the silver went to Gael Sariñana, from Durango. Coahuila was present in five finals within the first day of swimming at the Conade 2024 National Games: Amy Granados in the 200 meters Individual Medley 15 – 16 years old; Luis Ángel Martínez in the 200 meters Individual Medley and 50 meters Butterfly in 13 – 14 years; Justin Carrillo in the 200 meters Individual Medley 15 – 16 years old; and Zenif Castillo in the 50 meters Butterfly 13 – 14 years of age.
For the next few days, Coahuila is expected to collect more medals in the pool at the Conade 2024 National Games, in order to surpass what was done last year and continue growing in this discipline that will even have representation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with the lagoon Miguel de Lara Ojeda.
