Mumbai Punjabi star Gippy Grewal has earned a lot of name in the industry. He is known for his acting skills and giving big blockbuster hits in Punjab. Recently, Gippy shed some light on his childhood and the struggle he faced when his father suffered a stroke, which put the entire family in a difficult situation. He had to sell his ancestral land to save his father. In conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Gippy reveals, “When I was very young, things were good, we had a good house… but when I was 16-17 years old, When it happened, my father had a stroke. He was paralyzed, had kidney failure and needed a transplant. I spent two or three years in and out of hospitals. I belong to a farmer family, but we sold all our land. It was really a very low level.” Gippy further said that his father wanted him to become single, but due to financial constraints he could not launch him.
According to him, “In the late 1990s, there was a trend of making music videos, which meant releasing an album and video would cost Rs 5 lakh. My father wanted me to become a singer, but we had no money. So, I gathered some resources with the help of my cousins ​​and made an album. He also revealed that he earned eight thousand rupees from his first show. He concluded, “He was not there to see my success, and that is something I will always regret. He was my biggest champion; He will coach me and give me feedback; He always asked me about my shows.” His father passed away in 2003, after which Gippy became famous in the industry.
