“This vegetable contains a large amount of antioxidants, which has the effect of slowing down the aging process. Carrot consumption reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases and some types of cancer, strengthens bones, improves eyesight, and improves the condition of skin and hair. It is better to eat it raw,” said the doctor.

According to the expert, Brussels sprouts are also very useful and contain the special “anti-aging” antioxidant kaempferol. White cabbage, in turn, is rich in nutrients such as potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, iron and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, E, PP, U.

“Vitamin C is involved in tissue regeneration and collagen formation. Vitamin K plays an important role in metabolism. Cabbage has a beneficial effect on the heart and gastrointestinal tract, strengthens the immune system and fights inflammation. You can also eat it in pickled form,” Ivannikova said.
