Hurtado reaffirmed his commitment to the inhabitants of the commune, once again assuming the challenge of leading the municipality towards good living. “I want to put all this experience into a communal administration that lives up to what our communities expect. I also have the desire, conviction, and above all the responsibility to lead a collective project that improves the living conditions of Floridians,” he declared.

The political scientist from the Catholic University, who also has a Master’s degree in Political Institutions and Processes from the same university, highlighted in his opening words that “no management is perfect and no management does everything wrong, since it is carried out on previous municipal projects and therefore daily effort of municipal workers”, emphasizing that “what works well is maintained and improved: it becomes more efficient and more effective”.

Along the same lines, the candidate highlighted the need to move towards transparent municipal management, facing citizens, placing emphasis on the collective needs of the people who inhabit all sectors of the commune and not on individual projects of personal representation. , pointing out that in the last decade “a lot has been done wrong.”

On the occasion, Hurtado detailed the priorities of his management if elected, placing emphasis on Security as one of the pillars of work. “Human security will be at the center of every action we carry out as a municipality, both in crime prevention, in joint work with the police and in promoting social policies that prevent the conversion of future criminals. Let there be no doubt, because that is what the right establishes, that our effort will go towards the recovery of spaces, the fight against drug trafficking and to increasingly free the territories from insecurity and violence,” he stated.

And he reinforced the issues that require deep intervention such as health, education, the development of an equitable regulatory plan, efficiency in the expenditure of municipal resources, development of culture, openness to greater participation as some of his priorities, without leaving aside the issues of disability, childhood, policies for women, sports, diversity, older people, recycling, zoonoses, local economic development, among others.
