Facilities vulnerable to terrorists in the Republic of Kazakhstan were fined 48 million tenge

Kazakh police continue to check public places, assessing the state of anti-terrorist protection of objects vulnerable to terrorism, Liter.kz reports with reference to Polisia.kz.

Today, regional lists include 17 thousand objects of mass gatherings of people classified as vulnerable to terrorist attacks. Since the beginning of the year, 1,804 objects have been inspected, including shopping and entertainment centers, large retail and public catering establishments, educational organizations and places of worship.

As a result, 581 violations of safety requirements established by law were identified. Managers and owners of facilities where violations were detected for the first time were given instructions to eliminate deficiencies with deadlines.

At the same time, 180 administrative materials were drawn up against persistent violators under Article 149 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for failure to comply with the requirements to ensure anti-terrorist protection of the entrusted facility. Fines amounting to 48 million tenge were imposed, police said.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs assured that inspections are not limited to identifying deficiencies.

During the visit, police officers determine the level of knowledge and skills of personnel, as well as the security of facilities, on actions in various emergency situations and conduct training. The explanatory work covered more than 40 thousand workers from among the personnel of the waste management facilities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.

Representatives of the ministry called on managers and owners of facilities not to ignore the safety requirements imposed by law, on the strict and high-quality observance of which the safety of citizens depends.
