Police have arrested Enamul Joaddar (25), the mastermind behind the rape and robbery incident after putting super glue on the eyes and face of the housewife in Paikgacha, Khulna.
He was arrested from an abandoned fish depot at Kashimnagar in Kapilmuni upazila on Thursday (February 15) around 11:30 pm.
Enamul has weapons, robbery, banditry, theft and drug cases against him. After his arrest, weapons and drugs were recovered from him. He is the son of Ekramul Joaddar, a resident of Gadaipur area of the upazila.
Superintendent of Police Sushant Sarkar gave this information in a press conference at his office on Friday (February 16).
About the arrested Enamul, the Superintendent of Police said, thinking that the housewife had fallen asleep, she first held her face with her hand. He then applied the super glue in his pocket to the victim’s eyes and face.

Based on the information provided by Enamul, a stolen mobile phone and stolen gold earrings were recovered from Suman Halder (40), son of Deepak Halder, son of Maltia village of neighboring Dumuria upazila, from his mother. Earlier, the police arrested a person named Chamad Sardar (45) in the case and sent him to jail.
On Sunday (February 11) afternoon, the victim’s husband, a raw material trader (50), left home with raw materials for Garikhali haat. That night, miscreants entered the bedroom of Mannan’s wife by breaking the stilt door of Mannan’s one-story brick building. First, he tied his hands and feet with a veil. Then he took the gold pendant weighing two annas in the ear, collected 11 thousand taka and a mobile used by the housewife.
Before leaving, the accused raped the housewife with glue on her eyes and face. Later left in a state of confusion and fled. Later in the morning, the neighbor Barshi Khatun came forward after hearing the noise of the victim. On his screams, the locals rushed to rescue the victim with his arms and legs tied and bloodied and first informed the police. Later police rescued and admitted Khulna Medical College Hospital Crisis Center (OCC). In this incident, the victim’s husband became the plaintiff and filed a case against 2-3 unknown persons.
