Eleven Kazakh boxers became Asian champions

The first day of finals took place at the 2024 Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Astana. On Monday, May 6, the final fights were held by boxers competing as part of the youth tournament, Liter.kz reports with reference to Sports.kz.

Kazakhstan was represented by fifteen athletes. Of these, 11 eventually finished with gold medals. The Asian champions for men were Alexey Khavantsev (60 kg), Torekhan Sabyrkhan (67 kg), Oner Seilkhan (71 kg), Sanjarali Begaliev (75 kg) and Madiyar Beksultanov (80 kg). For women, gold was won by Ayazhan Sydyk (54 kg), Ayazhan Ermek (57 kg), Tolganay Kasymkhan (60 kg), Uldana Taubay (66 kg), Shugyla Nalibay (75 kg) and Aruzhan Zeinollaeva (81 kg).

The silver medalist among youth among men was Imangali Nurpeis (75 kg), and among women, Bagzhan Otynbay (52 kg), Maria Sidorenko (70 kg) and Panar Seytankyzy (81+ kg) rose to the second step of the podium.

Beksultan Boranbek (51 kg), Nurasyl Tulebek (54 kg), Zhanseri Kosherbaev (57 kg), Akhmet Usen (63.5 kg), Rasul Asankhanov (92 kg) and Nurgeldy Zhumatai (92) finished with bronze medals in the men’s tournament. + kg), for women – Anel Abdrasilova (48 kg), Elyanur Turganova (50 kg) and Aruzhan Zhangabaeva (63 kg).

On Tuesday, May 7, the final fights will be held by boxers under 22 years old.
