How to know if I can fill up with E10
We couldn’t find anything reasonable in Czech or English. Yes, there is a list released by the organization THATwhich for each car manufacturer lists the vehicles in which petrol would be used He should not have received E10. But the website that we managed to find in our northern neighbors which would allow us to find a list of compatible and incompatible engines after a quick registration of the vehicle, is therefore in Polish, which is not an obstacle.
Intelligent tool it is found on the website of the Ministerstwa Klimatu i Środowiska, i.e. the Ministry of Climate and Environment. But this is not important, that is more important it really works. Use is very simple, almost banal: you select the make, model and year of the vehicle and confirm that the car is fueled by petrol and not diesel. Then he runs outside engine list, with which the car was produced in the year in question. If the engine says “możesz tankować E10” in green, the engine will not have problems with E10. The opposite is “nie pożej tankować E10”, which means that you should not pump E10 gasoline into the vehicle.
What happens if I can’t refuel with E10 fuel?
If you have one of those cars in your garage that won’t test E10, yes different options. Some cars can be adapted to burn this modern fuel, but we wouldn’t rely on it completely. The problem mainly concerns gaskets and hoses, with metal parts a more aggressive composition can cause corrosion or accelerate it. According to the test carried out by ADAC, the tested vehicle even had them damage to the fuel pump.
The second option is adding an additive, which we would also avoid. Additives can stabilize the biocomponent, but only partially removes its negative effects. The risk that it will slowly corrode the seal will therefore still be relevant.
It’s safe to refuel fuel that does not have a biological component, or premium petrol. Yes, you will pay extra, but you are sure that the car will not have any problems. A similar rule also applies to all petrol owners cleaver A chainsaws, also applies to cars used only occasionally. Prolonged sitting will cause the biological component to separate from the fuel and cause all kinds of problems. The additives in every fuel (including E10) stabilize the balance for a while, but after a while they wear off. It is thus possible to store petrol without a biological component for a longer period of time without it degrading, for example during the winter.
