Deputies say goodbye amid tears and complaints at the end of the LXV Legislature

MEXICO CITY (apro).– Leaving the reforms proposed by the Federal Executive pending, the last session of the third year of the LXV Legislature in the Chamber of Deputies concluded with legislators on the verge of tears or confronting their opponents.

During the last session in the Chamber of Deputies, representatives of Morena, PT, PVEM, shouted confrontations with legislators from the PAN, PRI and PRD, who supported their respective presidential candidate.

During the positions on gender parity in the LXV Legislature, the Morena deputy, Yeidckol Polevnsky, flanked by several Morenista legislators, said that she respects many legislators from the PAN and the PRI, however, she questioned putting Xóchitl Gálvez as a candidate presidential, since he is capable of lying in the most profane way. So the PAN caucus chanted the name of their candidate.

“I am not speaking badly, I am just describing someone who I saw in the debate lie tremendously, who I saw say, imagine the manipulation, we are going to lower the Income Tax for anyone who earns less than 15 thousand pesos, they will be so ignorant that He does not know that the minimum wage is exempt from Income Tax.

“President, could you please stop this pack, in the same way that my fellow speakers spoke about their candidate, I want to talk about mine, I want to talk about her, because she talks about maintaining drinking water in Texcoco with total ignorance , who since the time of Nezahualcóyotl ordered a dam to be put in place so that the drinking water would not be contaminated, imagine, a woman like that wants to be president?”, she questioned.

At the end of their participation, the Morenoist legislators ended up shouting: “Claudia president! Claudia president!”

Finally, the legislators gave their positions on the occasion of the end of the LXV Legislature in the Chamber of Deputies, who thanked their peers and their time during that legislative period.

Gerardo Fernández Noroña says goodbye through tears

In his participation in the session, the PT deputy, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, on the verge of tears, thanked the Lower House because, he stated, in this chamber he lived the best moments of his political career.

“I come to this platform with a lot of honor and a lot of feeling, personally today I say goodbye to this Chamber of Deputies of the LXV Legislature, I will not return to my seat number 24, I have finished my cycle in this Chamber. I say goodbye not without emotion, I have lived the best moments of my political career in this place. I appreciate it, a hug,” he emphasized.

For his part, the coordinator of the PRI, Rubén Moreira, thanked all the parliamentary groups and asked to defend the autonomy of the Legislative Branch.

“I am certain that this Legislature will go down in history for many things that were voted on, some in favor and others not. But in that certainty I know that in each and every one of you there is love for Mexico, from our ideology, from our point of view, there is love for your cities, your districts, your states, and for that I congratulate myself to be your partner,” he highlighted.

The coordinator of Morena, Ignacio Mier, thanked the coordinators of the different political parties represented in the Chamber of Deputies, as well as the Morena legislators.

“No one can doubt that a representative, regardless of the political party they come from, does not love Mexico and does not wish it the best or does not respect it. My thanks and my friendship to all the coordinators without exception. Building a majority and guaranteeing governability goes through challenges. Morena represents the energy and social emotion of Mexico,” she stated.

Finally, on the verge of tears, the president of the Board of Directors, Marcela Guerra, thanked the staff who assisted her and highlighted that at all times she sought to apply the debate regulations and the applicable norms responsibly and fairly.

During the session, he also voted for the deputies of the Permanent Commission after the closing of the LXV Legislature, which will be made up of the following:
