At the next meeting of the deputy prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, special attention will be paid to coordination of topographic maps for border delimitation.
Publika.az reports, Deputy Chairman of the Armenian Government, Chairman of the Delimitation Commission Mher Grigoryan told journalists about this on Thursday.
“We should talk exclusively about topographic maps, which are professional maps. Often people confuse schematic and methodological maps with topographic maps,” he noted.
“The process of delimitation, at the same time, involves not only working with maps: first of all, it is necessary to determine the legal basis and support on which this or that map is drawn up. All these nuances are very important in the negotiation process with Azerbaijan,” explained the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia.
It should be noted that the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia and his Azerbaijani counterpart Shahin Mustafayev met in Tavush, in the border zone, at the end of January. The previous meeting was held on November 30 last year.
