MÉRIDA, Mexico -. A Cuban resident of Muri, a Swiss commune in the canton of Aargau, was found dead in Germany on April 23.

Niurka Izaguirre Acevedo, 44, had disappeared since April 12 and both her relatives and local authorities were asking for information about her whereabouts, Muri police reported.

“We are very worried and time is of the essence,” one of their children told a local media days after the disappearance.

Nisleydis Izaguirre Acevedo, sister of the deceased, had also circulated the file of her disappearance on the networks and asked for help to find her.

The woman was found in a body of water by the Frankfurt police after missing for two weeks.

Her death could be connected to that of her 54-year-old husband, who was found dead shortly afterwards in their Aargau residence by emergency services.

Izaguirre Acevedo’s car had last been seen crossing the border into Germany a day later.

It is speculated that the woman wanted to visit two of her children, who lived near Mannheim, Germany.

The authorities have begun an investigation to clarify both deaths and are looking for the Cuban woman’s car, a white BMW, model 320d from 2012, with license plate: AG 532 250.
