The chief’s game got messed up. Colo-Colo visited Cobresal in El Salvador – in the Atacama region – and started by scoring 1-0 in the second minute. However, the northerners, who orbit the bottom of the table, managed to spoil the visit to the Colocolino team with little football.

Damián Pizarro was the one who opened the goal early in the game. Then, Gustavo Huerta’s team tied it at 36′ with a goal from a previously unnoticed Diego Cohelo.

Before halftime, a penalty in favor of the chief gave justice to the game and Arturo Vidal – as captain – scored 2 to 1.

Cohelo, who appeared little, was key, as he scored the final tie with a header in the 72nd minute. The Colocolino team burst into arguments after the tie because they claimed that the play should be reversed since they gave Cristofer Mesías yellow after committing a foul to Vidal.

However, judge Eduardo Gamboa had given the advantage to the chief and continued playing, it happened that after losing the ball in that play, the next one ended in a goal.

Both Vidal and goalkeeper Brayan Cortés earned a yellow card after the goal. Esteban Pavéz was also painted yellow for continuing to argue after the match.

After finishing the match, Vidal confirmed that the result was not what they were looking for: “It clearly leaves us very sad, very angry at the result.” The multi-time champion added that “we deserved the win.”

Pending the other results, Colo Colo obtains 6th place with 17 points, waiting for what happens between Universidad Católica (7th with 15 points) and Unión Española (5th with 17 points).

Cobresal, for its part, remains in thirtieth place with 11 points, only above Audax Italiano, Deportes Copiapó and Unión La Calera.
