Byblos Bank Armenia supported American business consultant Clayton M. To the Armenian translation and publication of Christensen’s book “The Innovator’s Dilemma” by “Antares” publishing house.

“Why is success so hard to maintain?” Christensen answered these and many other questions in one of the most important books about innovation. “The Innovator’s Dilemma” tells the story of sustaining and revolutionary technologies, explains why established companies begin to decline, and offers simple solutions aimed at satisfying the demands of dissatisfied or neglected customers.

The presentation of the Armenian translation of the book took place on February 28, with the participation of representatives of the Bank and “Antares” publishing house and book lovers. Head of “Antares” media holding Armen Martirosyan presented the important messages of the book, which was followed by a discussion with the guests.

Hayk Stepanyan, Chief Executive Officer of Byblos Bank Armenia, was present at the event, who presented the Bank’s decision to finance meaningful educational programs and support the project.

The goal of cooperation between “Byblos Bank Armenia” and “Antares” publishing house is to enrich the library of the Armenian reader with another important book. Certainly, “The Innovator’s Dilemma” is a useful work for developing strategic thinking for everyone, regardless of industry. In a broad sense, the book is also about the ways to achieve success and the choice of strategy, which will help today’s and tomorrow’s innovators to find their way and choose the right business model,” said Hayk Stepanyan.

Armen Martirosyan, director of “Antares” media holding, spoke about the importance of financing the book by the Bank.

“Different areas related to money have different risks. A bank is a risk-balancing institution, and typically a conservative one. After all, the money collected by other customers over the years is the basis for the realization of their dreams, and of course, you have to be extremely careful. And how does innovation relate to banking? Of course, banks can be the first to use the results of scientific and technical development. And what is the most secure innovation of Byblos Bank Armenia? Learning and enabling others to learn. The publication of this book testifies to both innovation and responsibility,” said Armen Martirosyan.

The event was also attended by the winners of the Book Donation Day contest held by Byblos Bank Armenia, who received their copy of the book as a prize.

It should also be noted that this is not the first cooperation between the Bank and the publishing house. Taron Acemoglu and James A. Byblos Bank Armenia also supported the Armenian translation and publication of Robinson’s book “Why States Fail”.

Constantly emphasizing meaningful and positive steps, the Bank continuously invests in building healthy, prosperous communities by implementing a number of CSR programs and educational projects.
