Five companies receive the federal coat of arms for special merits, six companies receive the EU quality label – 17 companies are “state-certified training companies”

Wien (OTS/BMAW) “With the awards presented today, we recognize the outstanding achievements of Austrian companies. They stand for innovative strength and sustainable business and are the prerequisite for being able to survive in international competition. I warmly congratulate all companies on this award,” said Labor and Economics Minister Martin Kocher when handing over the certificates to outstanding training companies on March 18, 2024 at the Labor and Economics Ministry.

The award for special services to the Austrian economy is awarded every year on the basis of the trade regulations. The focus is on innovative strength and sustainable business. The award entitles the holder to use the federal coat of arms of the Republic of Austria in future business transactions as a “state-awarded company”.

“The federal coat of arms with the addition ‘State-certified training company’ highlights the special achievements of apprentice training in Austria and is a symbol for young people interested in an apprenticeship, their parents, but also for customers,” the Federal Minister continued. Internationally, our apprenticeship training is considered a best practice example for the vocational training of teenagers and young adults. Criteria include a high level of commitment to imparting skills, particularly special know-how or for specific target groups, but also participation in professional and training committees.

In addition to the federal coat of arms, the quality seal for apprentice mobility has also been awarded since 2017 to companies that enable their apprentices to do internships abroad as part of the Erasmus Plus project “EQAMOB – Quality Assurance for In-company Learning Mobility for Apprentices”. “Companies that are particularly committed to internships abroad for apprentices are brought to the fore in order to highlight the added value of job-related international experience for apprentices and Austrian companies,” Minister Kocher congratulates the award-winning companies.
