By a Notice referenced No. 0046/MJL/ANRACS/SA signed in Cotonou on March 25, 2024 by Raynier Florent GNANSOMON, Director General of the National Agency for the Recovery of Confiscated and Seized Assets, motorcycles are put up for sale , vehicles and other property confiscated for the benefit of the State.
According to the Notice, this auction which is part of a decongestion of Republican Police units will be carried out in said Units by Auctioneer Offices.
It will take place under the following conditions:
- The award is made to the highest bidder according to the rules applicable in this area.
- Payment and collection of acquired goods are made immediately
- The items (Motorcycles, Vehicles, and other equipment) are sold as is. They cannot be changed or returned
Furthermore, the Notice informs that each unit of the Republican Police concerned by the operation will set the dates and times relating to it.
It is important to emphasize that these are assets that a court decision has declared confiscated or seized for the benefit of the State.
This therefore means that motorcycles and cars currently detained in police stations as part of the operation to suppress Highway Code offenses are not… yet concerned.
