BAC 2024 itself will take place in Ningbo, China on April 9-14 2024. This event will conclude the qualifications for the 2024 Paris Olympics which started a year ago.
For Bagas/Fikri BAC 2024 is an event of life and death because their participation in the 2024 Paris Olympics is at stake. The reason is, they are required to get as far as possible to qualify for Paris.
Currently, Bagas/Fikri are in ninth place in the race to the 2024 Olympics with a collection of 72,179 points. They need to move up to eighth place to qualify for Paris accompanying Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
Bagas/Fikri must replace China’s representatives, Ou Xuan Yi/Liu Yu Chen, who are currently ranked eighth. In absolute terms, Bagas/Fikri will qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics if they become champions at the 2024 BAC.
Because of this, Bagas/Fikri do not want to be burdened with this target. They want to enjoy more and enjoy match after match.
“Fikri and I will play freely and just enjoy every match. I don’t want to be burdened with having to win in order to qualify for the Paris Olympics. I will just try to play well first,” said Bagas.
If they don’t become champions, Bagas/Fikri will at least qualify for the semifinals to add points. That also means Ou/Liu did not qualify for the semifinals. This means that Bagas/Fikri must be one level above Ou/Liu and at least qualify for the semifinals.
