Xuyen Viet Oil has debts at a number of commercial banks, with a total outstanding debt of about 5,500 billion VND.

In addition to a debt of more than 92 billion VND at Agribank, this enterprise also has a debt of 815 billion VND at a state-owned commercial joint stock bank.

In addition, Xuyen Viet Oil has an outstanding debt of more than 2,000 billion VND according to two credit contracts signed between the company and BIDV Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Branch. Of which, one loan is worth VND 789 billion and the remaining loan is VND 1,365 billion. These debts are all considered bad debts by the bank.

Besides, Xuyen Viet Oil also owes 1,450 billion VND at SHB, including a loan of nearly 953 billion VND and 60.8 million USD. Similarly, this debt has also been included in the category of bad debt by SHB.

Xuyen Viet Oil’s headquarters is at 465-467 Hai Ba Trung, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, once a major petroleum hub.

This enterprise has been a regular partner of Nghi Son and Dung Quat oil refineries for many years. The main market share of this enterprise is located in some provinces in the Central Highlands and Ho Chi Minh City.

Regarding Xuyen Viet Oil, on September 8, 2023, the Security Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security (A09) prosecuted the case “Violation of regulations on management and use of state assets causing loss and waste.” fees”, occurred at Xuyen Viet Oil Company and a number of related agencies and organizations.

The security investigation agency also decided to prosecute the accused, and issued orders to temporarily detain two women: Mai Thi Hong Hanh – Director of Xuyen Viet Oil, Nguyen Thi Nhu Phuong – Deputy Director of Xuyen Viet Oil, on the charge of “” violating regulations on management and use of state assets causing loss and waste.”

Expanding the investigation of the case, since mid-December 2013, the Security Investigation Agency has continuously prosecuted the accused and issued temporary arrest warrants for a number of individuals. That is Mr. Le Duc Tho (Former Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee) who was prosecuted and detained for investigation on the crime of “Abusing position and power to influence others for personal gain”.

On December 19, 2023, Mr. Le Duy Minh, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance (former Director of Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department) was prosecuted and detained to investigate the crime of “Receiving bribes”.

On December 21, 2023, the Security Investigation Agency also prosecuted the defendant and temporarily detained Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai for investigation of the crime of “Receiving bribes”.
