Anonymous Lukaku booed (slightly) by Juve fans after summer flirtation and loses against Roma | Foreign football

No victory for Romelu Lukaku (30′) in Italy’s most important match against Juventus. ‘Big Rom’, booed (lightly) by the home fans early on after his flirtation with Juve last summer, saw Rabiot score the match-winning goal at half-time.

AS Roma’s visit to Turin had an extra dimension. After all, Romelu Lukaku played against the club he briefly flirted with last summer. The Juventus fans then resolutely opposed his arrival.

It was the same fans who not too warmly welcomed the Red Devils to the Allianz Stadium in tonight’s opening phase. Far from the deafening whistles of Inter at the end of October, but there were whistles at Big Rom’s first touch, at his first duel, at his first rush towards the ball and at his first goal attempt. Not that the Juventus fans managed to make themselves heard much: Lukaku was difficult to reach and played in a rather anonymous way.

Juve won the balanced top match. Rabiot scored the only goal just after the break. Offside, but he counted rightly. Juventus is second, two points behind leaders Inter. Roma remains stuck in seventh place.

I WAIT. Rabiot’s goal

GOAL 1-0 by Adrien Rabiot!

It’s 1-0! Rabiot appears in front of Patricio and places himself from an acute angle exactly between the post and the Roma goalkeeper. A VAR check is enough, but the goal counts. The Frenchman was just offside. Lukaku and co. having to chase.

Vlahovic threatening for the hosts. He gets in, but Roma goalkeeper Patricio, despite his 35 years, falls to the ground and prevents the 1-0.

“Great Rome”

After two shots from Vlahovic, the ball falls to Lukaku’s feet. The Red Devil doesn’t hesitate and shoots a meter above the goal. A goal wouldn’t have counted anyway, because a teammate of ‘Big Rom’ was whistled early for a push that was too wild.

Cristante on the post

Roma immediately came very close to 0-1. Cristante launches into a spin. His skin explodes on the pole. The Romans started this topper with much enthusiasm.
