This reports at the end of March AMS Full employment in the Gmunden district. A pPositive development in the labor market figures can be seen among young adults up to the age of 25.

The economic downturn is also having a corresponding impact in the Gmunden district and there are significantly more unemployed people in the construction and (industrial) production sectors.

The unemployment rate in the Gmunden district is 3.3% at the end of March 2024, which is a decrease in the unemployment rate of 0.7 percentage points compared to the previous month and an increase of 0.3 percentage points compared to the same time last year. It is very pleasing to note that unemployment among young adults, i.e. people up to the age of 25, has fallen sharply (by around 26%).

As in previous months, significantly more men than women are registered as unemployed. At the end of March 2024, 605 women and 902 men were registered as looking for work in the Gmunden district. 607 people are currently completing qualifications that make sense in terms of labor market policy. Our focus in AMS Gmunden continues to focus on offering further training and qualifications, as the group of people with at least a compulsory school certificate is the group most affected by unemployment, at around 40%.
