A man assaulted the body of a refrigerator worker while the latter was trying to prevent him from leaving without paying for purchases he had seized, which led to complications in his heart that led to his death a few days after the incident.
Details indicate that on the day of the incident, the accused (36 years old) went to the “Barada” located in the neighborhood where he lives and where the victim and his brother work, and took a group of movables from it without paying for them, and when the victim tried to prevent him from taking them without paying their value, the accused committed the assault. He beat him to the safety of his body by punching him several times in the mouth, as a result of which the victim fell unconscious to the ground, and the accused was then able to escape with the movables in his possession.
After the incident, the victim’s brother went to the owner of “Al-Barada” while he was in a state of fear and panic and told him that his brother had passed out in front of his workplace. So the owner of “Al-Barada” went to the place and saw the victim on the ground, unconscious, with blood flowing from his mouth. He learned from those present that the victim had been assaulted. By one of the people who fled the scene after taking a group of movables from the store without paying for them after the victim tried to prevent him from doing so. Accordingly, an ambulance was requested to transport the victim to the hospital, but the victim died a few days after the incident.
By conducting the necessary investigations into the incident and reviewing the video footage of one of the houses adjacent to the “Al-Barada” place, it became clear that the incident had occurred. They were also able to determine the identity of the accused and arrest him. It was proven in the forensic doctor’s report that the victim was suffering from a chronic heart condition and that the injuries he sustained led to He died after several emotions and excessive effort that affected his heart, led to complications and caused it to stop.
The accused admitted to the Public Prosecution’s investigations that he had violated the victim’s bodily integrity, and it was revealed in the debt book of the “filer” that the accused had taken several movables and not paid for them. For its part, the First High Criminal Court set a session for March 17 to consider the case.
