His Excellency Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, participated in the ceremony honoring the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, which was held in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the sisterly United Arab Emirates, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister. Head of the Presidential Office, and in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation.
His Excellency also participated in the conference of agricultural ministers of date producing and processing countries, which was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the United Arab Emirates, in conjunction with the ceremony honoring the winners of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation.
In this regard, His Excellency the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture delivered a speech during the conference, in which he affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support for all initiatives to enhance the agricultural field and sustain food security, noting at the same time the keenness to strengthen the bonds of joint and mutual cooperation in this field to adopt more development plans and programs and prepare The necessary components for this to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture praised the efforts of the sisterly United Arab Emirates in organizing the Khalifa International Award for Date Palms and Agricultural Innovation, which highlights the UAE’s pioneering role in advancing creativity and innovation in the field of date palms and the agricultural sector, and paying attention to issues of protecting the environment and increasing the green area. He congratulated all the winners. Wishing them continued success.
