This came during a meeting between His Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Engineer Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, CEO of the Urban Planning Authority, and a number of employees.
During the meeting, His Excellency Sheikh Salman welcomed the Minister and all the attendees, and for her part, Al Rumaihi pointed to the efforts of the Supreme Committee for Urban Planning, headed by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, which contribute to developing the level of urban planning in the Kingdom of Bahrain and ensuring sustainable development in the field of urban development. In order to highlight the civilized face of the Kingdom, in a way that keeps pace with comprehensive development paths.
The meeting witnessed a review of the Authority’s existing projects, most notably the developments in implementing the general policy for planning and sustainable urban development in the Kingdom, and the priorities related to the national strategic structural plan for the Kingdom of Bahrain, in coordination with the relevant authorities, with the aim of reaching a development plan that achieves balanced urban development in various sectors. .
