The Bahraini Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation participated in the (Yalla Namshi) initiative launched by the Ministry of Health in the parks and walkways of the Kingdom of Bahrain under the slogan 30 minutes in 30 parks and walkways in order to encourage community members to walk and practice physical activity. The first initiatives were launched yesterday morning, Sunday. With a high walkway, with broad participation from bodies, institutions, and representatives of a number of ministries and associations, it will continue in a number of walkways and parks according to a daily schedule that was coordinated in advance in the various governorates.

At the beginning of the program, Dr. Wafa Al-Sharti, Director of the Public Health Department at the Ministry of Health, welcomed the attendees and participants from various agencies, institutions and associations, stressing that the Ministry, under the guidance of Her Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Jalila Al-Sayyed, was keen to present this program to enhance the concept of practicing walking and its repercussions on individual health and the fight against various diseases. It urged and encouraged various segments of society to practice walking for half an hour on a daily basis. Then, Osama Al-Laith, Secretary of the Bahrain Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, spoke and welcomed the Federation’s participation in this program and this initiative, stressing that the Bodybuilding Federation, under the guidance of His Excellency Mr. Sami Al-Haddad, President of the Federation, is making fun of it. All his capabilities were available to support such initiatives and trends that would enhance the health of the individual. After that, the member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Federation’s Referees Committee, Youssef Khunji, the professional fitness trainer, spoke about the importance of walking and its benefits. Then, the national team player, Khaled Al-Saidi, gave a number of stretching exercises that Everyone participated in it, preparing to start walking for 30 minutes, then the group set out on the walking track, carrying encouraging and introductory signs about the sport of walking.
