The Executive Committee responsible for the General Assembly affairs of the Central Landlords Union of Amwaj Islands held its first meeting this week, “on Saturday, May 4, 2024.” The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Representative Ahmed Sabah Al-Salloum, Chairman of the Union’s Board of Directors, and in the presence of Mr. Muhammad Riyad Al-Yaqoub, Secretary, Mr. Muhammad Jamil Al-Ghanah, Treasurer, Mr. Abdullah Abbas Shehab, Member of the Board of Directors, Engineer Nofal Abdul Qadir Al-Kooheji, Director of the Central Landlords Union of Amwaj Islands, Mr. Ihab Al-Saeed – Legal Advisor to the Union, and Mr. Karim Hamed – Director of Tejar Media Company, Media Advisor to the Union. ‏

This is to prepare for the fourth ordinary general assembly meeting scheduled for Saturday, May 25, and then Saturday, June 1, 2024 in the event that a quorum for the first meeting is not reached.

The Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors, His Excellency Representative Al-Salloum, stated that the next meeting will be different due to the presence of many changes that have occurred on the islands in terms of development and improving levels of service, security and safety, and the most important thing is to approve and confirm the legal status of the Federation once and for all. Pointing out that all preparations are underway to prepare for the next General Assembly.

During the meeting, Representative Al-Salloum directed the preparation of a letter to the Real Estate Regulatory Authority regarding directing the concerned authority to appoint neutral observers to attend the General Assembly meeting on May 25, 2024 and the second meeting in the event that a quorum is not reached on June 1, 2024.

Directions were also given to announce the items that will be included in the meeting, and what falls under the heading of “any new business among them.”

The union’s legal advisor was inquired about the quorum for both meetings, and who is entitled to attend and vote in accordance with the correct law. He explained that preparations had begun for the owners to attend the general assembly, and all owners were approved to attend the meeting. Owners can pre-register and can also register on the day of the meeting. .. While the right to vote will be limited to members who have paid membership fees and other financial entitlements until the end of 2023.

The Union President’s proposal to reduce the remuneration of members of the Board of Directors by at least 40% was also approved and presented to the General Assembly during the meeting.

It was also requested to prepare a special video about the developments witnessed in recent months, as well as to prepare a presentation that includes the points that will be discussed in the meeting, along with presenting the achievements of the Central Union for the year 2023 to all honorable members of the General Assembly.
