Based on the role that women play in the process of human creativity, and to commemorate their achievements, the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, affiliated with the Culture and Tourism Authority, launched a book entitled “One Hundred Creative Women,” as part of the activities of the 33rd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which continues until July 5.
The Center held a dialogue session entitled “One Hundred Creative and Innovative Books that Influenced the World,” which hosted Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghadhami, academic and literary and cultural critic, and Dr. Khalil Al-Sheikh, Director of the Education and Arabic Language Research Department at the Center, and was moderated by Tariq Rashid, Head of the Research and Studies Department. Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghadhami expressed his happiness with the issuance of this edition of the book, because it sheds light on the essence of feminist literary successes, considering that this book is a foundational implant, as the center opened a door to documenting feminist successes and innovations, praising the efforts made to publish it.
Dr. Khalil Al-Sheikh explained that “One Hundred Creative and Innovative Women” is a critical definition of creative women, and aims to talk about women who have achieved important literary achievements. He explained that the book is the third in the “One Hundred and One Books” series.
