Yesterday, Thursday, the Minister of Labor, Jameel Humaidan, opened the activities of the “13th Bahrain Pre-Work Training and Education Exhibition and the Education and Labor Market Forum: Opportunities and Challenges,” in the presence of Sheikha Noura bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Medpoint, which specializes in organizing and managing events. The Minister of Labor, Jamil Humaidan, stressed the growing interest shown by the government, headed by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in developing national human resources and raising their professional level to be the first choice in the labor market, as well as improving the education and training system and making it appropriate. Academic specializations, especially university ones, meet the requirements of the labor market in the Kingdom of Bahrain, pointing out in this context that the employment system requires education and training institutions to keep pace with the labor market’s needs for skills to fill jobs, including new jobs.
Humaidan explained that the Ministry of Labor participates with great effectiveness and interest in supporting national efforts to harness all capabilities towards launching more qualitative initiatives in cooperation between various parties related to the fields of training, education and vocational rehabilitation and developing their policies in order to reduce the gap between the actual requirements of employers and the outcomes of education and training and meeting market needs.
